Description:
The Emergency Solutions Grant Program is a homeless prevention program that assists individuals and families who are at risk of becoming homeless. The program can only assist participants who have an apartment and are being evicted.
Eligibility:
- Meet the income guidelines
- Must live in Hampden County (EXCEPT SPRINGFIELD) AND
- Must have a Writ of Summary (no 14 day notice) AND
- Income must be at or below 30% of AMI AND

*Participant must be able to afford the apartment after help is given
Must Meet One of the Following Criteria:
- Prior episode of homelessness in an emergency shelter OR
- History of domestic violence OR
- Presence of an adult or a child or youth with a dianosed disability
