Description:
Valley Opportunity Council provides homeless families with shelter and service coordination at the Main Street Inn.
The Main Street Inn assists participants with the following services:
- Housing search
- School enrollment
- Referrals to work training programs through MCDI and Holyoke Works
- Referral to Bethlem House so participants can get clothes for their newborn
- Domestic Violence Counseling
- Money Management Couseling
- Make referrals to mental health and/or substance abuse counseling
- Nutrition Classes through UMass
- Children's Group with Enlace de Familia
- Provide six months of case management after participant leaves
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for this service you must be emergency assistance eligible which is determined by DHCD
Service Area:
The Main Street Inn services anyone who DHCD deems emergency assistance eligible.
