WIC nutrition program
WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to healthcare and other services free of charge to qualified Massachusetts families. WIC serves low- to moderate-income people in critical stages of growth and development.
WIC offers:
- Personalized nutrition education and counseling, including breastfeeding support
- WIC card to redeem at participating grocery stores and pharmacies for nutritious foods and infant formula/baby foods
- Referrals to other healthcare and social service agencies
